Who We Are

  • Almost 25 years ago, Dave Belew (center), advocated for the extension of the Great Miami River Trail through Hamilton. Because of his tireless work to get this completed, this section of the trail has been renamed the Dave L. Belew Trail in his honor.

Make A Difference

The Great American Bike Rally was brought to life by an unnamed cancer survivor. This individual is an extremely active cyclist who challenged a group of like-minded cycling enthusiasts to simply make a difference in a child’s or challenged individuals’ life. His hope was to combine dual passions of helping others and cycling into a fundraiser to support our base mission. This challenge led to the gestation of the idea of conducting an “intercity” fundraising bike rally, which could showcase the tremendous asset of the Great Miami Trail System connecting our two cities, Hamilton and Fairfield, AND to serve to raise funds for local charities.

Since 2023 our sole focus has been on the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton Ohio! We feel that one of the best ways to improve our local communities is to create life changing experiences and opportunities for our Youth! The Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton do exactly this, as they continue their Mission “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens!”
